Updates! Podcasts! Excellent!!

Hello fabulous followers,

It has been far too long since my last post. I do have an excuse – I’m in my final semester at UT, I’m working at a fabulous internship here in Austin, and I’ve broken my right ankle. These things combined make it very difficult for me to etch out time to post reviews and news for you all. However, fret not! I’ve got a class blog that focuses on the Austin music scene, and although it’s empty at this very second, it’s going to fill up quickly with local news that Austinites (or fans of Austin) can use. Plus, I’m doing an associated podcast series, which you can subscribe to here. The first episode is already edited and uploaded. You’ll notice that there are 2 epidsodes posted – that’s because you can decide whether you want the quick-and-dirty on Collapsing Horse, a fantastic Austin band, or if you’d like to get to know Lawrence Lander and the boys a little better with the extended version. If you have the time, I highly recommend the extended – Lawrence is super witty and interesting, so the time will fly by, I promise.

I’m also going to be producing a (non-music! gasp!) flash project, focusing on young Austin entrepreneurs. Hopefully, by interviewing young and successful business folk in the city, we’ll make ourselves feel better by knowing that, yes, it can be done. (I’m about to graduate, can you tell?)
